Education Minister Presents all-Ireland Education Awards
Sinn Féin Education Minister Caitríona Ruane has presented the All Ireland Awards for Services to Education at a ceremony in Dublin.
This is the seventh year of the awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement in education, both nationally and internationally. The awards recognise achievement across all levels of education and aim to promote North - South relations through education.
Speaking at the event the Minister said:
"The Annual Awards for Services to Education on the Island of Ireland recognises the achievements of individuals and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to their respective areas in education.
"The theme for this years awards is 'To Educate is to Awake' and the winners have all played an important role in stimulating interest in the many aspects to education. More than 300 nominations were received and I applaud the efforts of all those working for the benefit of others across our island."
