Molloy to host Relatives for Justice at Stormont

5 November, 2007

Sinn Féin's Francie Molloy MLA (Mid-Ulster) will host a reception and photographic exhibition for Relatives for Justice in the Long Gallery, Stormont at 11am tomorrow, November 6th.

Francie Molloy said:

"I welcome the opportunity to host this important event in Stormont's Long Gallery and to provide Relatives for Justice the occasion to inform politicians in the Assembly of their efforts to achieve truth and justice for their relatives.

"Relatives for Justice were born out of refusal by the British government to carry out proper investigations into the killing of their loved ones, the failure to hold inquests in a reasonable period of time and obstruction of due process through the use of Public Interest Immunity Certificates to withhold evidence and information from Inquests - when they were held - and from trials in the few cases that made it to court.

"Sinn Féin will continue to give whatever support necessary until the families receive closure to their quest. The Party leadership will persist in its pressure on both governments to uncover the truth." ENDS
