Sinn Féin seek urgent meeting with NI Sex Offender Strategic Management Committee over Foley case
Omagh Sinn Fein Councillor Seán Clarke says that the party is seeking an urgent meeting with the NI Sex Offender Strategic Management Committee (NISOSMC), following the release of convicted rapist Eamon Foley and the disclosure that he has subsequently taken up residence near Gortin.
The Sinn Féin bloc on Omagh District Council held an emergency meeting on the issue over the weekend.
Following the meeting local Councillor Sean Clarke said:

"As a party and through the office of our MP, we will be seeking an early meeting and assurances from the Northern Ireland Sex Offender Strategic Management Committee (NISOSMC). The request for this meeting has now been made.
"We want guarantees that the local MASRAM process is sufficiently robust and capable of dealing with this case because the public deserve to be reassured and protected." ENDS
