Sinn Féin says PSNI must do more to halt attacks on Castlederg homes
Castlederg Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie McHugh has hit out at those responsible for a spate of window breaking incidents to homes in the town over the last month and has called upon the PSNI to ensure that these incidents are fully investigated as well as doing more to ensure that they are brought to and end.
The local Councillor said,
"Over the last month there has been a spate of incidents in which windows have been broken at homes in the Lurganbuoy Road, Kilclean Road and most recently at Meetinghouse Street in the town.
"It is obvious that whoever is behind these attacks care little for the emotional distress or financial cost that has been visited upon the unfortunate victims of these vindictive acts.
"As there does not appear to be any clear link between any of the families targeted it seems that these attacks have been carried out on a completely random basis.
"This is obviously a matter of concern for everyone in the area.
"The PSNI must to ensure that these incidents are fully investigated as well as doing more to ensure that they are brought to end." ENDS
