Adams - Endorse Sinn Féin's Work for Change

4 November, 2003

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP speaking this morning after the party's nine Belfast candidates visited the Belfast electoral office said:

'Sinn Féin has a vision of a peaceful, prosperous and united Ireland. We have a strategy to make that a reality. In the immediate term our objective is to anchor the peace process and to deliver the Good Friday Agreement. The Sinn Féin party has taken real risks for peace.

Our leadership has put itself on the line.We have faced up to real difficulties and we will continue to do so. We are asking the people to endorse our work. We don't take the voters for granted. We value our mandate. We deliver on it.

We are asking the electorate to join with us and to ratify and validate what we are doing. The people have a choice. We are asking them to vote for sustainable change.

"Sinn Féin is looking for the votes of every single person who wants to be part of the historic task of building a new future for all our people." ENDS
