Sinn Féin to hold National Women's Day event in Liberty Hall
Sinn Féin will hold an International Women's Day celebration event tomorrow evening, Saturday March 8, in Liberty Hall, Dublin. The Celebratory event will be hosted by Dublin Sinn Féin MEP Mary Lou Mc Donald.
A host of women singers & musicians will perform on the night including Roisín Elsafty, Roisín Gaffney, Anna Buckley and others.
Dr. Suha Kaho, Palestinian Woman representative will provide information on how Palestinian women are dealing with their situations daily in their war torn zones. Joanna McMinn, Director of the National Women's Council will address the gathering also.
Dr. Ella O'Dwyer will say a few words about Mairéad Farrell who was killed in Gibraltar on March 6th 20 years ago while a vigil in memory of the Gibraltar 3 will take place before the event at 6:30pm at the GPO.
