McGuinness to join White House St Patrick’s Day celebrations
Sinn Féin Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness will participate in the traditional St Patrick's Day celebrations in the White House on Monday.
Prior to meeting with US President George Bush, He will also be hosting the Six County Bureau's St Patrick's Day breakfast at the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington. Guests will include leading US business and political figures in advance of the forthcoming economic and investment conference in Belfast.
Following the White House event he will be attending the Speaker's lunch on Capitol Hill, along with guests including President Bush and the Taoiseach.
During the course of his visit the deputy First Minister will also visit Georgetown University's BMW Center for European Studies where he has been invited to deliver an address entitled 'Resolving Conflict in the 21st Century: A Personal Perspective.'
