Regret at sudden death of young author

19 March, 2008

Sinn Féin Newry and Armagh MP Conor Murphy has expressed his deepest sympathy to the family of talented young American author Andrew Britton who died suddenly this week.

Mr Murphy said:

"Andrew was known to us here at home in Camloch. He was proud of his roots here and would have visited along with his mother Anne. His grandmother, uncle and aunts live in the village.

"Andrew had been hailed as an exciting young author and had been receiving excellent reviews. His latest book 'The Invisible# was released earlier this month and his last book the highly acclaimed 'Assassin' made its way into the New York Time Best Sellers List top 25. We are shocked at his untimely death." ENDS
