Make partition history - theme at Easter Commemorations
Sinn Féin leaders Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness will be in Dublin on
Sunday 23rd to take part in commemorations to mark the 92nd anniversary of
the 1916 Rising. Martin McGuinness will be attending the state commemoration
on O’Connell Street and Gerry Adams will address a major Sinn Féin Rally in
the city later in the afternoon.
Over the
weekend more than 100 commemorations will take place in towns and villages
across Ireland.
Speaking in advance of tomorrow’s
events the Sinn Féin President said:
“This
weekend tens of thousands of people in towns and villages across Ireland
will gather to remember, commemorate and celebrate the men and women of 1916
and all those who died in the cause of Irish freedom.
“The
main theme at republican commemorations will be ‘make partition history’.
In the week
