McGuinness condemns attack on home of Lithuanian workers
Sinn Féin deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness MP, MLA has condemned the weekend petrol bomb attack in Cookstown on the home of a group of Lithuanian workers.
The Mid-Ulster MP said:
"All right thinking people will find the action of these mindless individuals abhorrent and totally unacceptable. Those responsible for this reprehensible attack must be caught and face the full rigour of the law. Anyone with any scrap of information concerning this attack should make it available to the PSNI.
"I extend my best wishes to the victims and reassure them that those responsible for this attack are not representative of the people of Cookstown or the Mid-Ulster area. Everyone, regardless of racial, ethnic or religious background are entitled to live free from fear or intimidation and I call on every one to ensure that ethnic and migrant workers are made to feel welcome in the community."
