5 June, 2008

Sinn Féin Newry and Armagh MP Conor Murphy has congratulated St Paul's High School on being nominated as a regional finalist for the Young Direct Marketing Awards, an award scheme for school children organised by the Direct Marketing Association.

The MP said that he like all in the local community were very proud of the School and its achievements. He said:

"Well done to all staff and pupils concerned. St Paul's has once again does us proud. I wish them well for the coming final in London.

"This is a fantastic achievement given the very high standard of entries. The pupils were tasked with designing a direct marketing campaign for one of our charity partners. Pupils in years 7 and 8 entered the Awards on behalf of Friends of the Earth and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association." ENDS
