Brady meets Health CEO to discuss Daisy Hill safety

Sinn Féin Newry Armagh MLA Mickey Brady has meet with Colm Donaghy, Chief Executive of the Southern Health Trust and Paddy Loughran, Director of Acute Service at daisy Hill Hospital in Newry to discuss the ongoing investigation into a senior consultant who had worked in the Gynecology department.

Speaking after the meeting in Stormont today Mr Brady said;

"I was re-assured that all possible steps are being taken to rectify the situation and that all of the women involved should be re-assured that the Trust and Hospital were doing all in their power to address any concerns that they may have.

"All cases involved are currently being checked by a Professor of Gynecology and to date 70 casers have been dealt with so far without any untoward findings." ENDS
