Call for witnesses to serious assault to come forward
Sinn Féin MLA for West Belfast Jennifer McCann has issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed a serious assault on a 40 year old man outside the Devinish Comlex last Saturday Night to contact the PSNI.
She said:
"A man is seriously ill following a vicious assault which was carried out by a number of people outside the Devinish Complex on Saturday night.
"The totally unprovoked attack happened as the man was leaving the car park. We know a number of people witnessed the attack and I am asking that they come forward and give their account of what happened to the PSNI.
"The victim of the assault is in a serious condition in hospital and the thugs who carried out this attack need to be apprehended and face the consequences of their actions.
"I want to make a direct appeal for anyone who saw anything to contact the PSNI immediately." ENDS
