Rasharkin petrol bombing does nothing for community relations in run up to the Twelfth – McKay
Sinn Féin North Antrim MLA and Policing Board member Daithí McKay has condemned those responsible for a petrol bomb attacks on Shea Ógs pub in Rasharkin last night.
"A lot of work is happening to try and prevent any trouble at Saturday's Parade; this is the first year there have been restrictions placed on this parade by the Parades Commission. Historically there would also have been a protest but this year it was not taking place; this attack could have far reaching implications for Saturday.
Thankfully no one was injured in last night's petrol bombing and Cllr Anita Cavlan has visited the area this morning.
I would make an appeal for calm in what is already a tense time, despite this and indeed other acts of provocation across the Six Counties."
