Cllr Maskey condemns north Belfast device find

Sinn Fein Councillor Conor Maskey has described this morning's bomb find in North Belfast as 'extremely dangerous'.

Cllr Maskey said,

"While it is not yet known what group or individual may have been responsible for leaving these devices, what is known is that they were left in a busy, built up area and had they detonated the damage to the area could have been very serious.

Two of these devices were left at the front window sill and the back door of a 70 year old woman waiting to enter hospital for an operation. This woman is well known and respected in the area and this degree of recklessness and wanton disregard for people's safety will no doubt anger the local community."
