MP raises Health concerns with Southern Trust

Sinn Féin MP and Assembly Member for Newry & Armagh, Conor Murphy commenting after meeting with the Southern Health & Social Service Trust has said that he raised a number of issues with the trust including: Daisy Hill Hospital, Social Education Centres, Trust facilities in Armagh and the Ambulance Service.

Conor received assurances that there would be no dilution of services at Daisy Hill Hospital and welcomed news that the Social Education Centre for Newry has been approved.

The Trust also confirmed that the ongoing work in relation to the Crossmaglen SEC is progressing with interim measures being put in place in the meantime.

The MP also sought certainty and assurances on the uses of the Trust Facilities in Armagh. In relation to ambulance cover in South Armagh Conor has been advised that NIAS will receive better investment which the MP believes will benefit the people of South Armagh. ENDS
