Ardoyne shooting condemned

29 August, 2008

North Belfast Sinn Féin Councillor Margaret McClenaghan today said that the overnight shooting of a man in his Ardoyne home was wrong and should not have happened.

Cllr. McClenaghan said:

"Last night a man was shot a number of times in his Ardoyne home. This shooting was wrong and should not have happened.

"There are justifiable concerns within the community at ongoing anti-social and criminal behaviour. It is up to the PSNI to prove themselves capable of dealing with this. These types of attacks will not solve these problems." ENDS
