Sinn Féin Parliamentary Team meeting in Dublin this week
The Sinn Féin Leinster House Parliamentary team will hold its annual party ‘think in’ in the Deerpark Hotel in Howth, County Dublin this week (Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd September) in advance of the return of the Dáil.
The party’s Assembly team will meet on Friday 5th September in Gulladuff and an all Ireland meeting of Sinn Féin’s elected representatives will take place at the end of September.
Topping the agenda at this week’s meeting are the economy, the situation post Lisbon Treaty and community safety and policing. The party will launch a ‘cutbacks monitor’ initiative to highlight cutbacks in frontline services across the state and will also discuss proposals aimed at stimulating the economy.
Over the coming months Sinn Féin is determined to hold the government to account and to show the same constructive leadership which we showed during the Lisbon Treaty campaign.
Over the two days the Sinn Féin representatives will also discuss next year’s Local Government and European elections and the work of the newly formed Taskforce on Irish unity.
