"The Fire Service has provided a great service to every community across the North and over the years several Fire-fighters have died in carrying out their duty. It is important that this investment will be also be used to increase the safety of the men and women who have to deal with what is a times is a harrowing job.
"The announcement coupled with the news last week of the investment in the ambulance service will help to ensure that people are provided with a service that is fit for purpose in the years ahead.
