Groundbreaking initiative in East Belfast
Sinn Féin's East Belfast Representative Niall Ó Donnghaile has praised all those who took part in this week's multi statutory conference aimed at tackling anti-social activity on the East Belfast interface.
Speaking after yesterdays meeting in the East Belfast Mission Hall, Niall Ó Donnghaile said,
"Firstly I want to commend the Short Strand Community Forum and the Bridge Community Association for taking the initiative on this issue; I was delighted to attend and glad to see the many statutory and community groups represented, including the PSNI, Housing Executive, Belfast City Council, the BELB, the Youth Justice Agency and the Social Services.
"This is an issue I have highlighted and been campaigning on for a long while now, and these first steps are a positive way in collectively tackling the issues of anti social and anti community activity taking place in our area.
"I look forward to the work ahead and Sinn Fein is committed to playing a central role in working throughout the community to help alleviate the misery for people on the East Belfast interface."
