McKay condemns attacks on Clough residents
North Antrim Sinn Féin MLA, Daithí McKay, has condemned last Sunday's arson attack on the home of a Clough mother of one.
The attack, which caused extensive damage to the property, follows on from an incident at the house in the early hours of the 12th July, when the tenant was beaten by masked intruders. Both incidents are under investigation by the PSNI.
Daithí McKay, MLA, said;
"It appears there may be a sectarian motive behind these attacks as the victim had recently started going out with a catholic. I would appeal to the local community to support the couple as everyone deserves to be allowed to live their lives, free from hatred and intimidation." ENDS
