Developers owe €1/2m to Dublin City Council-Doolan
Sinn Fein's Dublin Spokesperson on the Environment & Local Government, Councillor Daithí Doolan, has slammed, "developers who still owe Dublin City Council over €500,000 in Development Levies."
Speaking at this evening's City Council's meeting Cllr. Doolan said: "Tonight's revelation is a disgrace. It has only come to light because of the question I put to City Manager. The City struggles to make ends meet yet the very companies who have profited millions from the city now owe the people over €1/2 million "
Cllr. Doolan outlined: "This money would go along way in improving the services across the city. It needs to be paid immediately by those developers in question."
Cllr. Doolan concluded: "If this money is not paid by the end of this year I am calling on City Manager to publish the names of the guilty developers and ensure no further planning permission is granted to these developers until the debt is cleared." ENDS
