Progress on £2.3 million investment in Larne area
Sinn Féin Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy has welcomed Roads Service's progress on investment totalling £2.3million in the Larne Council area this year.
Speaking ahead of this evening's meeting between Roads Service and Larne Borough Council, the Minister said: "Junction visibility splay improvements have already been completed at Ballyhampton Road/Old Ballyhampton Road and at Gobbins Road/Mullaghboy Road, and it is planned to improve the junction visibility splays at Bridgend Road/Forthill Road later this financial year.
"Traffic Calming measures have been introduced in the Seacliff estate, Larne to address concerns about speeding vehicles, and a Pelican Crossing has been installed on the Old Glenarm Road near the cemetery.
"Improved warning signage with integrated flashing lights have been introduced at Corran Integrated Primary School, Old Glenarm Road and at Ballyboley Primary School, Braepark Road as part of an initiative aimed at enhancing traffic and speed management outside schools." ENDS
