Government should bow to public pressure and reverse savage education cuts – Ó Caoláin
Speaking in the Dáil today Sinn Féin TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin called for the immediate reversal of the savage cuts in education after the massive public support of up to 60,000 people at the rally against the cuts on Saturday.
Deputy Ó Caoláin said, "The Government should immediately reverse the savage cuts in education which are punishing children, teachers and parents for the economic mismanagement of the Government.
"These cuts are undermining our entire education system, a cornerstone for the recovery and development of our economy and society as demonstrated by the massive public support of up to 60,000 people at the rally against the cuts in Dublin on Saturday." ENDS
