de Brún to address Mid Ulster Farmers' Forum in Ballyronan
Sinn Féin MEP, Bairbre de Brún will address a Farmers' Forum in The Marina Centre, Ballyronan, tomorrow, Wednesday January 28 at 7.30pm.
The Forum will be chaired by Mid-Ulster MLA Francie Molloy, who is a member of the Assembly's Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, and the panel will also include Conor Heaney (special adviser to Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Michelle Gildernew) and local farmer and Sinn Féin councillor Seán Clarke.
Extending an invitation to all farmers throughout counties Derry and Tyrone as well as everyone involved in agri-businesses and the wider rural economy to attend, Cookstown councillor Seán Clarke, who is heavily involved in the local roll out of the Rural Development Programme, said:
"Events like the Farmers Forum taking place in Ballyronan allow my party to directly engage with people at a local level and to hear their real needs and concerns.
"Wednesday night's meeting will allow Bairbre de Brún, a Member of the European Parliament who is pro-active on agriculture and rural issues to engage directly with our farming communities so that she can fight for them in Europe. Everyone is welcome to attend." ENDS
