24 March, 2009 - by Cathal Ó hOisín

Sinn Féin Language and Culture Spokesperson, Francie Brolly MLA (East Derry) has said that he is looking forward to the UlsterScots/Irish Language diversity event which is to be held in Limavady Borough Council's Offices tomorrow from 4 until 7 pm.   Francie Brolly said:   "I welcome this event which will be addressed by Catholic Ulster Scots speaker Liam Logan and Dr. Ian Malcom a Protestant Irish speaker. Considering the debate manufactured by some politicians in Limavady recently in an attempt to sectarianise language I believe that this is a very opportune time to host such an event.   "I would encourage as many people as possible to attend this function so that they can experience the beauty of language. I look forward to gaining more of an insight into the development of Ulster Scots Culture from Liam Logan a Catholic Ulster Scots enthusiast and I hope that Protestant Gaelgóir Dr. Ian Malcolm's contribution to this event will open a few minds to the reality of the all embracing richness and beauty of the Irish Language."
