Allister attempts to predict SF vote to score political points

4 February, 2009

Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brún has stated that Jim Allister's attempt predict the outcome of Sinn Féin votes before the votes even take place is a cheap way to score political points in his battle with the DUP.

Speaking today Ms de Brún said:

"My record representing local agriculture and the agri-food sector is second to none. The only way Jim Allister can attempt to score cheap political points in his electoral challenge to the DUP is to issue statements predicting the outcome of Sinn Féin votes before they even happen.

"It strikes me that Jim Allister is just being as disingenuous as possible, attacking anything he can, in an attempt try and outdo the DUP in their electoral battle.

"It clear from his ramblings about climate change à la Sammy Wilson, that he has little to offer other than a worn out mantra." ENDS
