It’s up to the DUP to explain why policing and justice proposal wasn’t discussed at Executive – Murphy

9 July, 2009

Sinn Féin Minister Conor Murphy has said that it is up to the DUP to explain why the paper on the transfer of Policing and Justice powers was not presented to the Executive today.

Speaking following this afternoon’s Executive meeting Mr Murphy said;

“Sinn Féin and the DUP agreed the wording of this legislation, to create a new department.

It was ready for agreement at the Executive this afternoon.

It is now up to the DUP to explain to the people why this didn’t happen.” CRÍOCH
