Sinn Féin to publicly call for general election as Government proves incapable of dealing with economic mess

8 September, 2009 - by Pat Sheehan, Westminster

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams, Finance Spokesperson Arthur Morgan, Vice President Mary Lou McDonald and Dáil Leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin will tomorrow address the media at the front gats of Leinster House.

Gerry Adams will publicly call on the Government to take responsibility for the economic mess and call a general election while Deputy Morgan will rubbish Fianna Fáil claims that no party foresaw the economic recession by pointing directly to the record of the Dáil which show’s that Sinn Féin consistently warned of the dangers of over inflating the property bubble.

The Sinn Féin delegation is available to the media at 11:45am at the Kildare Street Entrance to Leinster House.
