Sinn Féin TDs and Senator will not pass Leinster House picket
Sinn Féin Dáil leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD has confirmed today that his party's TDs and Senator will not pass the trade union picket lines at Leinster House next Tuesday.
Speaking in the Dáil today Deputy Ó Caoláin said the staff at Leinster House are fellow workers and colleagues of the members of the Houses of the Oireachtas. He said Sinn Féin fully supports trade unionists in their opposition to the Government's proposed across-the-board cuts to public service pay and their campaign for a better, fairer way. This was reflected in the party's Pre-Budget 2010 Submission, the Road to Recovery, published this week.
