Caitríona Ruane receives death threat form Orange Volunteers
Sinn Féin South Down MLA Cáitríona Ruane has this evening revealed that she too has received a threat from the Orange Volunteers. Ms Ruane said that a PSNI station in Belfast received a telephone call issuing the threat against her.
Speaking this evening Ms Ruane said;
“This threat against me comes following similar threats being issued against both Gerry Kelly and Francie Molloy yesterday; like them I must take any threat made against me seriously, not least for the sake of my family.
However, I will not allow any threat to detract me from my work as an elected representative. I will continue to carry out my work on behalf of those citizens in South Down who elect me to represent them at the Assembly and will not be deterred from this important work by threats of any kind.” CRÍOCH
