Sinn Féin member's home attacked
The home of the Sinn Féin Chief Whip in the Assembly Sue Ramsey was last night attacked with ball bearings. This is the latest in a long line of such attacks carried out on the homes of republicans living in West Belfast.
Ms Ramsey said:
"Last night a number of ball bearings were fired at my home presumably from a passing car. A number of the ball bearings struck the house and smashed windows.
"This attack is the latest in a series of such attacks on the homes of republicans living in West Belfast. Given the fact that those carrying out these attacks have accurate information regarding the addresses of republicans there is a real suspicion that this information is being supplied by one of the British state agencies or the PSNI.
"Attacks like the one on my home last night or on other colleagues homes in recent times will not deter Sinn Féin representatives from continuing to represent our constituents." ENDS
