Gerry Adams leads Sinn Féin delegation to meeting with Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams today led a party delegation to a briefing with a delegation of Cuban officials including Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.

Speaking after the meeting Gerry Adams said:

“Progressive thinking Irish people have always enjoyed a great solidarity with the Cuban people.

“Today I expressed my great admiration for the people of Cuba not just for their long struggle but also for their tremendous contribution to international aid efforts.

“I thanked the Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister for taking the time to meet with the Sinn Féin delegation and told him that I look forward to continuing good relations with the Cuban Government and the Cuban people.” ENDS
