Cllr Austin appeals for support for vigil following tragic death of 12 year old

West Belfast Sinn Féin Councillor Janice Austin is calling for the West Belfast community to come together tomorrow, Friday 28th May, at 7pm, to the top pitches in Falls Park for a vigil in memory of Corry Wisdom who died suddenly on Wednesday evening whilst in the Falls Park. The family has been advised by the hospital that there is "no known outcome of his death at this stage".

 

Speaking today Cllr Austin said:

“The vigil is being organised by the Turf Lodge Residents Association in conjunction with youth providers and community organisations from the Upper Springfield area to show solidarity and sympathy to the entire Wisdom family.

“The entire West Belfast community is shocked to learn of the death of a young boy of 12 years of age who died suddenly and I would am appealing for people to pay their respects to the family circle of Corry, and to show support to his friends who will all need whatever help we may give them in the coming days".
