Sinn Féin delegation to meet with Taoiseach
A Sinn Féin Delegation led by Party President Gerry Adams and including Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, Party Vice President Mary Lou McDonald and Dáil Group Leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD will meet Taoiseach Brian Cowen at Government Buildings tomorrow.
The meeting will deal of the recent Westminster election and the Sinn Féin delegation will brief the Taoiseach on the need to ensure that the new British Government honours its obligations under the Good Friday and St Andrew’s Agreements.
The Sinn Féin delegation will use the opportunity to make the case that in the face of the current grave economic difficulties there is a compelling case for the further development of the all-Ireland economy.
Sinn Féin will also raise the issue of the recent Israeli attack against the Gaza Freedom Flotilla which seriously endangered the lives of Irish Citizens.
The meeting will take place at Government Buildings at 4pm tomorrow, 3rd of May.
