Sinn Féin representatives to seek meeting with ASDA following meeting with McErlane family
Sinn Féin Representatives Gerry Kelly MLA (North Belfast) and Niall Ó Donnghaile (East Belfast) today met with members of the McErlane family at Stormont.
Speaking after the meeting Mr Kelly said;
“There are a number of questions for ASDA about this entire situation which remain unanswered. The family rightfully want answers to these questions and I support them in that endeavour.
I commend the McErlane family for their continued dignity in the face of such a harrowing and difficult situation for them.
I am seeking an urgent meeting with the Chief Executive of ASDA to discuss these concerns and urge him to hold a meeting with the McErlane family without any further delay.
Mr Ó Donnghaile added;
“The McErlane family is to be commended for their dignified stance throughout this situation.
I call on the Chief Executive of ASDA, Andy Clarke, to meet with the McErlane family on what is a massively important and sensitive issue without any further or undue delay.” CRÍOCH
