Lenadoon attack highlights once again the dangers of knife crime -Cllr O’Neill
Sinn Féin Councillor for West Belfast Gerard O’Neill has stated that the latest knife attack, which occured in the Lenadoon area of West Belfast, highlights once again the dangers of knife crime and of taking weapons such as this onto the street.
Speaking today Cllr O’Neill said:
“This week has seen a number of knife attacks across the north and this is the latest in the series of these. It highlights once again what can go greatly wrong when people take knives onto the street.
“It cannot be tolerated within our communites when people are put at risk by those who will use weapons like this and people need to take a step back and consider the repercussions of lifting knives.
“The injuries are serious to the victim and we are lucky that we are not dealing with a death as a result of this attack.”
