Beer matt to be launched in support of Sinn Féin job creation proposals
Dublin Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh will tomorrow launch his party’s job creation proposals, including a plan to create 40,000 jobs for the young unemployed, before tomorrow’s All Ireland Football Semi Final between Dublin and Cork.
Deputy Ó Snodaigh will also launch a new Sinn Féin beer matt which calls for support for the party’s job creation proposals.
Sinn Féin will have a stall at the Ballybough Bridge over the Canal before the match throws in tomorrow. Deputy Ó Snodaigh will address the media from the stall at 2.30pm.
Speaking today Deputy Ó Snodaigh said:
“Dublin and Cork both have the highest numbers of unemployed people in the state. We will be talking to supporters of both teams tomorrow to promote our proposals for creating and retaining jobs.
“The Government is not taking the jobs crisis seriously. Sinn Féin has put forward strong proposals to create and retain jobs including a specific document with proposals to address the problem of youth unemployment.
“The Government needs to get serious about tackling this problem. The hardships created by the recession will be felt for years to come unless we can get Ireland back to work. We have solutions however we lack a Government with the political will to implement them.” ENDS
