McLaughlin slams those behind Crumlin alert.

8 September, 2010

Sinn Féin MLA for South Antrim Mitchell McLaughlin has stated that those responsible for leaving a device at the PSNI station in Crumlin, only yards from  school and fire station, are as senseless as those who left a bomb at St Comgall's in Antrim.

Speaking today Mr McLaughlin said:

“The leaving of the device at the PSNI station is wrong and will achieve nothing. It is despicable that those responsible have left this device literally across the street from a local primary school and only yards for the local fire station. It is as stupid and senseless as the leaving of a pipe bomb in St Comgall's in Antrim earlier in the week.

“The wrecklesness of this action shows that whoever is behind it has little regard for this community. It will do little to achieve any sort of political aims and those responsible must realise that.

“The community do not want this, and have said that time and time again. It is high time that these senseless actions stopped.”
