Community in shock as courageous pensioner dies

Sinn Féin Coucillor Tom Hartley has stated that the community are deeply shocked following the news that a 75 year old man, from Cavendish Street, Sammy Crawford had passed away.

Speaking today Cllr Hartley said:

“The news that Sammy Crawford has died has left this community numb and angered.

 “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Crawford and in particular his wife Cathleen and his son Gerard. I am sure that the local community will rally around them to provide whatever support they may need in the coming days.”
