Sue Ramsey secures Health Committee motion on supporting Hospice
Sinn Féin Health Committee member Sue Ramsey MLA today proposed that the Committee table an Assembly motion calling on the Assembly to fund Hospice services similar to what is done by the Government in Scotland.
Speaking this afternoon Sue said;
“Obviously this is an issue of serious concern for those families dependant on the care, support and love of the hospice.
I believe it is essential that the Assembly give the necessary support in this difficult economic time, to the Hospice and the vital work that they carry out.
That is why I proposed this motion go from the Health Committee to the floor of the Assembly for debate on this matter and with the hope that we can support those workers at the Hospice and the people they care for.” CRÍOCH
