Sheehan encourages Gaeilgeoirí to take part in Translink signage consultation

Sinn Féin MLA for west Belfast Pat Sheehan has called on people to actively take part in the ongoing consultation by Translink into the use of bilingual destination signage on buses going up and down the Falls Road.

Encouraging people to take part in the consultation Pat said;

“This is another step forward by Transport Minister Conor Murphy.

There is no doubt that the Irish Language is vibrant, growing and visible right across west Belfast but more importantly these is major demand within the area for this exact type of bilingualism.

I would encourage as many as possible to make positive contributions in support of this initiative.

People can take part in the consultation by sending their submissions to [email protected] or writing to Marketing Department, Translink, Central Station, East Bridge Street , Béal Feirste, BT1 3PB.
