Details of latest Housing Executive inquiry must be made public – Maskey

22 February, 2011

Chair of the Public Accounts Committee Paul Maskey MLA has said that the details from the latest investigation with the Housing executive must be made public.

Speaking from the Assembly this evening Mr Maskey said;

“The reality is this; for some considerable time now I have been expressing my very serious concerns at issues of openness and transparency within the Housing Executive to the Housing Minister Alex Attwood as well as his predecessor Margaret Ritchie for over two years now.

At present there are a number of inquiries as well as police investigations ongoing into matters of serious concern within the Executive.

I would urge the Minister to make the findings of these various inquiries available to the public as these matters affect countless people within all of our constituencies.” CRÍOCH
