Oil and gas revenue could form basis of economic recovery – Ferris
Speaking ahead of a debate in the Dáil this evening on a Sinn Féin motion calling for renewed licensing terms for the Corrib and Lough Allen gas and oil reserves, Sinn Féin Natural Resources Spokesperson Martin Ferris said:
“We should be utilising and investing in our natural resources including oil and gas instead of throwing billions away on the bank debt.
“Many people have come to realise the vast potential of oil and gas and contrasted that with the current mess and the fact that the revenue terms are so generous.
“Oil and gas revenue could lead to sustained economic growth and form the basis of Ireland’s economic recovery.”
