Departure of New Children’s Hospital CEO another setback
Sinn Féin Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald TD has this morning described the departure of the new National Children’s Hospital Chief Executive Eilish Hardiman as another disappointing setback for the new National Children’s Hospital project.
Deputy McDonald said:
“Health Minister Dr. James Reilly’s review of the Mater site needs to begin as a matter of urgency and be concluded promptly. Our sick children deserve the best medical care available but without increased capacity in the state’s hospital provision this is simply not possible.
“Ms Hardiman’s departure as CEO of the New Children’s Hospital to Tallaght Hospital is yet another setback for the project. It is now incumbent on the Minister to promptly resolve the indecision surrounding the site of the new Children’s Hospital.” ENDS
