Protest actions to take place against the removal of accident and emergency services at St Colmcille’s Hospital

22 June, 2011

Wicklow Sinn Féin will hold a protest this Friday afternoon at 4pm at St Colmcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown against the government’s decision to withdraw accident and emergency services at the hospital.

Sinn Féin Councillor John Brady, who will lead the protest, was successful in getting unanimous support at a meeting of Wicklow County Council last week for a motion opposing the withdrawal of the accident and emergency service and calling on Minister James Reilly to intervene.

A public meeting is also planned for next Thursday 30th June in the Royal Hotel at 7.30.
