Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD, speaking during Taoiseach’s Questions this afternoon, asked the Dáil to join with him in congratulating the 126 athletes who have brought home 107 medals from the Special Olympics.

Mr. Adams said:

“Comhgháirdeas don 126 daoine a ghlac páirt ins na cluichí Oilimpeacha.

“Is féidir linn a bheith an-uaibhreach as an obair chrua atá á dhéanamh ag na iomaitheoirí ins cluichí Oilimpeacha Speisialta.

“I want to commend and congratulate the successful Irish Special Olympics Team.

“126 Irish athletes have brought home 107 medals. This is a great achievement for them, their families and all of those who have worked to provide the financial and physical support they need.”
