Staff not receiving proper support at RVH A&E - Ramsey
Sinn Féin MLA Sue Ramsey said the revelations concerning the operation of A&E at the RVH are very concerning.
The West Belfast MLA and Chair of the Assembly’s Health Committee said:
“I have been raising the ongoing issues concerning the A&E at the RVH for the last number of months. Clearly when someone in such a high position as the Clinical Director decides to step aside there are problems that have not been dealt with.
“The revelations from another doctor who worked in the A&E confirm that the department and staff are not receiving sufficient support from senior management.
“Mary Hinds, who was appointed to look at A&Es across the North, will be in front of the Health Committee on Wednesday.
“Mary Hinds will need to convince the committee members that the Belfast Trust and the Health Minister can ensure that the A&E will operate to the benefit of both patients and staff.”
