“As well as fellow Irish MEPs ,Irish cultural groups based in Belgium, including the local GAA, Irish theatre, Irish language and Uilleann pipers groups will also be represented.
“The event is an opportunity to showcase some of the talent that will be on offer in Derry during the 2013 Fleadh Cheoil and as a means of promoting the event and encouraging and welcoming people from home and abroad to visit the city.
“The performers taking part in the event are from Derry and Donegal and for three young people - Aoibheann Loughlin (Limavady) on the fiddle; Paddy Kenny (Derry City)on the tin whistle/flute; and Mairead O'Connor(Donegal) on the box – there will be a special treat when they appear on stage in concert with the world famous Chieftains on Wednesday night in Brussels.”
