Report indicates Sinn Féin education strategy working
Sinn Féin Education Spokesperson Chris Hazzard welcomes the latest report that shows that academic achievement continues to rise.
Mr. Hazzard stated.
“This latest report makes welcome reading especially given the fact that the increase is across all sectors, including special needs education.
“The increase in children achieving 5 or more GCSE’s is particularly pleasing as this is an indicator of the performance of the overall system.
“The fact that most schools across the North, including grammar schools, are now all ability schools also adds weight to the campaign to end all testing at eleven.
“This report shows that academic excellence can be achieved without academic selection and that standards continue to rise.
“This is a continuation of the rise of the last few years and indicates that the Sinn Féin strategy on education is working.”
